TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. No drinks, food or alcohol will be permitted to be consumed inside the vehicle at any time under any circumstances without the express permission of the driver.

  2. Should the vehicle require valeting due to negligence or alcohol illness a charge will be made of up to  £250 to cover cost of cleaning and loss of earnings.

  3. We reserve the right to charge waiting time for delays exceeding 5 minutes in collecting passengers from their address who are not ready to leave at the booked time.

  4. We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic congestion, late prior customers and their flights or mechanical breakdowns. At the company's discretion we may authorise a third party taxi to complete the transfer and the company will reimburse additional expenditure over and above the original cost of our taxi.

  5. We allow 45 minutes from landing to rendezvous with the driver before waiting time may be charged if there is checked luggage to collect and 30 minutes if hand luggage. The driver will advise any waiting time at the start of the journey. If there is any dispute the customer should call our office on 01483 280050 during the journey. The driver should accurately record the landing and rendezvous times. Any charges will be based on fifteen minute increments of £5.

  6. Luggage left in a vehicle will be reunited with passengers but we reserve the right to make a delivery charge.

  7. Silver Arrows reserve the right to decline any bookings and to request any passenger to leave the vehicle if we or our driver deems this necessary.

  8. Cancellations for airport collections will be charged at full rate if the driver has been dispatched to the collection area. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the booking will be charged at 50% and must be confirmed by email.

  9. All charges based on mileage are charged to the last mile or part thereof.

  10. If you have a problem or complaint it is essential that you inform the driver immediately, if you wish to make a formal complaint, please notify our office in writing no later than 7 days after your planned journey.

  11. If you cannot locate your chauffeur and you seek an alternative method of transport without first contacting Silver Arrows to try and resolve the situation, you will be charged the tariff rate based on the service booked.

  12. Prices quoted are for cash payments made to the driver at the end of the journey. Customers can opt to pay by card at an additional charge of £5 per journey and VAT will be added to the total charge. Payments in advance can be made by online transfer to Effingham Express 40-46-48 51398164 at no additional charge. The company reserves the right to request payment in advance specifically for late night bookings for new customers.

  13. All bookings are accompanied by a confirmation sent by email. All customers should check the accuracy of the booking information as the company reserves the right to charge for cars incorrectly despatched.
